I kind of did that, except I did a lot of write in votes and put the name of the guy who sits next to me at work. I promised him I'd vote for him; just got carried away.
I sent my absentee ballot in last night to avoid the long lines on election day. For the most part I voted against anyone already in office. Throw them all out.

It's strange here, there were judges listed with no one running against them but the question was "should they retain their seat". I voted "NO" for everyone of those.
The issues were worded in a very confusing fashion, you had to read them several times and in most cases your vote was actually the opposite of what you think it would be. In other words voting "no" you were for it. that kind of wording should be eliminated and the issues spelled out clearly. I voted against the constitutional amendment in Florida prohibiting same sex unions. Again, GOP needs to focus on the economy and foreign affairs and quit moralizing with their "family values" crap. I don't care who sleeps with whom so long as they are consenting adults. Same sex unions should have the same rights and responsibilities as traditional unions IMHO.
I still like going to the polls on election day so I can get my little "I voted today" sticker! [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
Nothing says I did my part more than that little sticker. No sign in your yard, no bumper sticker or t-shirt or hat says more than that little round sticker on your chest placed like your hand over your heart.

In '04 everyone in line was just bashing Bush and I don't suspect it would be any better this year. Not saying he doesn't deserve at least some of it, but I don't necessarily feel like hearing some of the invective leveled against him. I'm not a real keen supporter but I'm not a basher either. On one hand, the country has gone to hell on his watch, on the other hand given what was thrust upon him on 9/11, I'm not sure anyone else would have done much better. Iraq was the biggest mistake, clearly.
Well Bush is leaving no matter what.
No matter who is elected president, W will be leaving the white house in January.
Cant vote him out, because he's already leaving.
I really can't wait til this whole thing is over.

Exactly. I couldn't agree with you more on that. Every person has the right to vote for whomever they choose.
This is a free country, and our election process is supposed to be a true representation of that.
I wish we still had Ronald Reagan.
Well, call me a spoil-sport if you will, but I've always enjoyed intimidating people at the polls, doing what I can to either a) keep them from voting, or b) scaring them into voting for someone they don't really like.
But I tell you, it's not fun anymore. Nowadays people make a big deal out of it. But boy back in the good ol' days...
