Finally, a vacation

3 days without the husb or kiddies! Going to NYC to visit my bro and sis-in-law next Friday. I'm so jazzed, I've never been there before.

Not going to see a show or waste my time shopping, although it would be cool to pick up a $10 "designer" watch on the street. I do want to see the WTC site and Times Square, and have a really good, really authentic Italian meal.

Any other must-sees I can cram into this short visit?

A <s>real</s> imatation watch can be had on Canal street near chinatown. Just go to the Empire state bldg and then walk towards the atlantic. Be advised though that it'll cost you a about $15 or so for a rolex who's second hand "ticks" but about $25 if you want on who's second hand "sweeps"

PS: I bought a sweep hand rolex a few years ago and it was one of the best watches I've ever owned. I think I paid about $27 for it.

Thanks for the info...I hope to buy Pat a Movado museum watch to match mine. I was just talking to a neighbor of mine today that had one on that she bought in Chinatown...looked just like my authentic Movado.
