And I didn't make a crack about Erin being unfit. I made a crack about you thinking she isn't equal to a man.
Truth to tell the last time I tangled with her here I wasn't particularly impressed but maybe she's improved a bit with higher learnin.
[SNIP] Rationale for thinking woman inferior to men, soldier stories and observation that different people have different capabilities.[/SNIP]

Some of us can soldier or enforce laws. Some of us can't. I happen to think that most women can't. I also happen to think that although most men can't, they have better inate skills to rise to the occassion if necessary.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Gae your assumption that the capability to soldier or serve in LE is related to gender is, well, Ann Coulter nuts. Physical strength, and I assume this is the primary difference you think exist between the genders, aint the whole ball of wax. I served with people who frankly were out and out wimps in the physical department but they were fine and admirable sailors.

We all have different skill sets, Pina. And just to further piss you off, I will also go on record as saying that I think the stupid assed laws that require marginally or non-qualified people a spot on the cops, or in the military, or the FD are insane.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You know, back in the days when these jobs required one to be big then you might have had an argument, though it would still be a marginal one at best, but none of these require people to be huge hulking brutes anymore. Women, in general, are perfectly up to the challenge of getting the job done.

When push comes to shove, I'd rather be locked and loaded, standing next to a man, than next to a screaming woman.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Screaming woman?? So now your not just saying your daughter is inferior physically but that she is prone to hysteria under stress and is mentally or emotionally inferior. Damn, 87cents on the dollar may be too much.
It also occurs to me that your "women are inferior" logic is pretty convienent now that there are rumblings about a new draft being looked at to relieve the troops in Iraq and Afganistan.
I would think a patriot such as yourself would be encouraging her children to do thier duty to thier country and support our efforts there.
