May we be well met. I am Gunslinger. Some of you are fortunate enough to know me.
How do you do.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
We haven't had anyone new to pick on in a LONG time.
The dotted red line:
Several weeks ago, GL showed an AccuWeather graph of the potential path of hurricane Jeanne. On the graph in the middle of a shaded range that covered most of Florida, there was a dotted red line that lined up right over St. Petersburg, Florida.
GL felt the St. Petersburg Times presented that graph in the interest of advertisers in order to increase readership. I argued that Accuweather is an independent forecaster with 15,000 subscribers worldwide and that their forecast and dotted red line has nothing to do with advertisers. That an independent, reputable forecaster publish such a forecast is no doubt of great interest to both the Saint Petersburg Times and their readers.
It's actually more involved than that, but as it turns out, after a detour in the Atlantic, Jeanne made a b-line right for the Tampa Bay Area, so the point is kind of moot.
The dotted red line was ultimately right. I wish he had obeyed it.
Never question the dotted red line.

Gunslinger - How do you feel about waiting outside, on the porch, while Em is inside eating steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese, a glass of milk (probably chocolate) AND dessert on most Thursdays throughout the school year? In zero and -zero degree weather? And during the 90+ degree weather of next July and August? Hmmmmmmm?
Better you should say "sorry Sluggo". Don't you think?
Gunslinger - You only have to say it when you use vulgarities. Not for just general cussing.

You may want to start working on that apology. According to John Capp's The Arabian Nights and Other Classics notes on Dante's Inferno: "In the third circle, which is guarded by the three-headed dog Cerberus, they meet those who have committed the sin of gluttony. Heavy hail, dark rain and snow sheet down through the black air; the earth they sink into stinks."Originally posted by Gunslinger:
The day I apologize to Sluggo for anything will be a cold day in hades. (j/k)
