Attaching grass to my suit has kept me up for more nights than any other part of the ghillie suit construction process. I have been told not to make the grass stand up because it will make a more abstract object while moving. But if you don't get it to stand up, even a little, the grass is now horizontal and does not match the terrain around the sniper.
Once that problem has been solved, should I just inter-twine the grass with the netting of the ghillie suit, or attache it with some sort of foilage band and/or bush patch?
