Here are a couple of books that I recommend that you read if you have time.

SOLE INFLUENCE- I forgot the author's name. Paeton Caldwell's Father has my copy.
Backstory: How the "shoe company money" has influenced travel basketball. First hand accounts of some of the "shadiness" that goes on.
*you can order from Barnes & Noble

1 CHANCE 2 DANCE, by Ray Mernagh- order from the author at http://www.hoopwise.com
Backstory: more about the Mid-American Conference, but Darryl is quoted several times during passages about travel basketball and recruiting. Interesting accounts of good players who left "grassroots" programs(Camp Darryl type of programs), to play for shoe company teams, and the teams won, but they never played.
The Granger kid from Indiana as well as some CDBA kids come into play.

John Srodulski: could you post your review on any of these books. I know that you've read at least one and I as well as other's would like to know what you think!

    Thanks,
    -Darryl

Adam Skedgell has read "Sole Influence". I remember he wrote a book report on it during his Freshmen year.
Adam, could you share you thoughts/review on "Sole Influence"?

    Thanks,
    -Darryl
