This information is for Parents and other spectators who'll represent the Camp Darryl Basketball Academy at any of the July NCAA Certified tournaments.

The July events are handled in a much different manner than the April(KJSSC) NCAA Certified events. The July events have officials from the NCAA in every gym to enforce that rules & guidelines are followed to the letter.

Event teams, event coaches, fans and general public are strictly prohibited from entering a COLLEGE COACHES ONLY entrance or seating area.

Event teams will enter and leave the bench area AWAY from the college coaches seating area.

The NCAA prohibits all Division 1 coaches from talking to event coaches, event players, players? family members and general public.
*This means that you can't talk to them either. You may very well be standing next to a famous coach in the concession stand line, but all that you can do is smile and maybe nod your head as a way of saying hello.

All team members and a team coach are required to attend the MANDATORY NCAA Educational Session, failure to do so will result immediate forfeiture from the tournament.
*This is also known as "The Video". All teams will attend on July 6. We will have specific times to attend and our teams may not all attend the same session. PARENTS are welcomed(encouraged by Darryl!) to attend. Note: for those parents who've been viewing the "video" for a few years, I don't know if it's "refreshed". Therefore it could possibly be the same one.

During July, these rules are strictly enforced. I witnessed a team and a coach(separate incidents) being reprimanded last year.
