If you want a brighter piano in the BeatBuddy kits, I usually start by boosting the upper mids around 2–4 kHz and cutting a bit of low-mid mud. Some kits just sit better after that. I’ve compared them using the same riffs I practice on my own best beginner piano, so the differences pop out fast. If the sample still feels dull, layering a touch of EQ or slight compression usually perks it up.
