I've recently "inherited" a late '60's stove (a basic three burner). The burners still work but the previous owner was having problems with the oven. Either the thermostat or the lighting mechanism. Nobody seems to know for sure because nobody is willing to work on it. Too much of a risk for them. Anyone else run into this problem of finding repair folks? And anyone know of a shop in northern lower michigan vacinity to look at this great stove? we'd hate to get rid of it, but we don't need another doorstop, either.

I can't help you with a repair place in your area, but if you or a friend is mechnical at all, these stoves are easy to work on. I got a copy of the manual from Todd White, and have done all the gas adjustments, valve greasing, etc., myself. Good luck!
