How can I tell if my stove needs rock wool ? do I have to take her apart? I haven't named her yet. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!! It does heat up the kitchen some when I turn the oven on.

Nearly always the oven door could use new rock wool. Decades of grease and gunk gets in there and makes the wool ineffective and smelly. The good news is that it's easy to do - you only have to remove a few screws to get the panels off the oven door. Your Owner's Manual has an excellent description on how to do that.

Sam the Stoveman has excellent replacement rock wool - just find his store on e-Bay. You only need 1 box of it to do the stove door.
