Congrats on your new stove. Check out past threads on installing a safety system. The Uncertain Stoveman can guide you as well as lowracer who documented the whole installation. I'm sure they'll be glad to help.

I have no idea where you can find out this kind of information. I hope someone can point out some links for you. Good luck!

    Joe:

Where in Illinois are you from? Can you post a photo of the Model A? How'd you come across it? We like to hear the stories, ya know.

well to behonest it was dumb luck. im in the middle of redoing my basement. about 2 years ago we had a major flood. after cleaning it out and fixing the problems i can now start rebuilding. what im doing is making it a 50s retro kitchen and ice cream shop. some day ill buy a big screen too. but have to work on the wife. i found the stove on ebay pure luck too. i was searching for retro stuff and poof stove. and for what ever reason i stuck it in my watch folder. about 2 days go by no bids on it. i talk to a few people and they all said i was crazy. until i talked to my wife grand parents. they thought it was the coolest thing ever and they told me how they used to have one. before you know it i buy stove and im realy happy i did. the biggest problem i have right now is how ami going to get it down stairs. its about 400lbs from what i understand. i better start using my gym membership. haha. so thats my story in a nut shell. i live in IL if you were in chicago go northwest about an hour. little town called lake in the hills. if you know the area about 20 mins north of elgin. i dont have my own pics yet the best i could do is post the item number from ebay
    Item number: 7616235728
    from what i understand its a model 15 A.
you guys are great and thank you for all you help as soon as i get it home ill post better pics of it.
    thank you
    joe

    It's probably a "B" series CHAMBERS range.

You'll need a Service Manual and the Cookbook/Operation Manual for it.

I have these available - let me know when you need them (once you know for SURE which model CHAMBERS you have).

    Joe,

Congrats on the find. Nice stove! I had to convince the wife as well. I know Lake in the Hills, my wife has a high school buddy that move there. That used to be farmland before development caught up with it. Good to see another Chambers owner from Illinois That makes three that I know of. We're catching up to Texas on this board.
