Hello Chambers Fans!
Well, the powers-that-be at iChef have approved our own Chambers Stove Lovers Recipe Club!!!
The URL for it is:
Chambers Stove Lovers Recipe Club
They do not, at this time, allow multiple people to input recipes, so you'll have to send me your recipes and I will post them.
Send them to:
"]
So - get cookin' folks - we want to put as many recipes in there as we can!

Oh goody! This will be really great. But, now that Chambers makes cooking so much more enjoyable, does anyone have any helpful hints as to how to make grocery shopping a pleasure? It's hard to cook yummy things when the cupboard is bare.

Hi All, Has everyone increased their cooking with their Chambers ? I sure have, love to eat but am headed towards Weight Watchers sooner rather than later....hmmm, I could blame it on winter...I really look forward to the recipe exchange, especially some hearty winter soups !

ha,
Any good eyeball soup recipes???
Could not resist asking.
I guess I'm lucky hubby is gone 2 weeks out of the month and don't have to cook big all the time. I do lots of stir fry veggies, soups and fish when he's gone, keeps me trim.
Been pondering....possible to do stir fry on the griddle or too messy???

I've got a good recipe for a Naval Jelly donut, made on a rusty old unrestored Chambers range...

Todd,
This sounds great. Let us know the progress. Wouldn't it be great if we could make our own new chambers cookbook?

I need lots of recipes for the special way of Chamber's cooking.
I have a wok and do my stir fry on its ring with the
stoves thing off. I use the left front burner, somehow it has a much higher heat.
Thing, what thing? I don't know what you call the thing the pans are rested on over the flame...V

The single largest collection of recipes for cooking "the Chambers way" is found in THe Idle Hour Cookbook, Second Edition.
Actually an Operation Manual AND recipe book, The IDle Hour Cookbook is a MUST for all owner's of CHAMBERS ranges.
I have them in two sizes - the original (small) one, and my own creation, the KITCHEN SIZE version, which is the original cookbook blown up to 8.5 x 11 size, cleaned up and bound in a ClearVu binder for easier reading and using while cooking.
If your burners are not all operating at the same height, you need the Service Manual - it tells you how to calibrate your CHAMBERS properly, along with how to repair, adjust, and calibrate it.
Let me know if you need either of these.
