Thermodome

I got to visit Byrant Stoves in Thorndike Maine while on vacation. My daughter wants a wood cookstove and this is definitely the place to find them. They don't usually have chambers but when i asked she said they had one. It was in need of restoration but sitting on top of the burner was the thermodome. I was amazed. If anyone is interested in wood burning cookstoves, this place is a must.

Was the thermodome for sale? Did you get any pictures? I've been looking for one for Grandma Bowen for quite awhile. They are not easy to find.

Sorry i didn't get any pictures. it was the one day we didn't have the camera. But it look in pretty decent shape. don't know if they'd sell it separately but as they are not totally into chambers they might. it's a family owned operated operation. i'm sure it you wrote or called them they'd let you know. don't know if they'd remember me, but we did spend about an hour there and talked to them for a long time.

i never heard of this before so i checked it out. did you see there's another stove for sale--located in upstate new york--that had the triple and double pots, plus some kind of frame thingy? Is that possiblt the thermodome stand mentioned in the 'dome listing??

If you are referring to item # 160006496497, the "frame thingy" is the much sought after thermobaker. The requested opening bid is quite reasonable if the winning bidder receives both the two different pots and the thermobaker along with the stove.
