    Hi V,
6.5" H, 9.5" W. I don't think it could be any taller and stil fit in the well with the T-cover. I guess I am used to the pot that arrived with the stove which actually rested on the rim of the chrome top.

Ikea has a four quart stainless pot for about 14 bucks- 8 1/2 " wide, 6" deep once you unscrew the handles. There is just enough room on the sides to slip potholders in to lift it out. The quality isn't bad. It has a nice thick bottom. I make a lot of long simmering recipes with tomatoes and this pot is working out great. You could even make handles for the pot and lid by bending a wire coat hanger and threading it through the screw holes. Kind of tacky looking though. I put two round magnets on the lid to make a knob. If you piled enough magnets on the lid it would probably automatically lift off whenever you lifted the well cover. I'm just not that lazy or pressed for that much extra time.

Can you adapt it to accept the clips found on the original Thermowell pots?

I think so because the lid is flat and flush with the top just like the original well pot. Maybe these photos will help. Also, here's the link to the Ikea pot. They don't have the smaller one that I got at the store, but this is what it looks like. What do you think?

None of those will fit. The smallest (shortest) is still 7.5" in diameter - too big for the Thermowell.

    I'm still looking, too...
