There's no need to prevent the aluminum from contacting the food. Aluminum does not cause Alzheimers.

And one more thing before I log off and do something useful with my time: Isn't it a strange coincidence: Chambers have aluminum pots, aluminum causes strange thought processes. Haven't you ever wondered about the connection between RosWELL and ThermoWELL? How about all of youse form a Thermowell Crack Pot Institute?

Roswell and Thermowell... Hmmm... There could be a connection. The Thermowell was added to the Chambers model B for the very first time in late 1947, the very year the hapless aliens were shot down and their craft captured over Roswell.

The Thermowell is based on alien technology. Immediately afterward the model B morphed to the model C, incorporating even more advanced technology, especially a more well refined and highly insulating Roswool, er, I mean Rockwool.

Heh. I was actually talking about the fact that acidic foods aren't supposed to be cooked in aluminium, not that aluminum contributes to alzheimers'.

Specifically, tomatoes cooked in aluminum supposedly get a 'bitter' taste and an off-color.

Well that's different. You shouldn't be eating tomatoes anyway. They can cause acid reflux and modern science is still undecided whether a tomato is a vegetable or a fruit. I would not want to eat any food that has not been properly and fully categorized.
