Smoke

Great Site!

I purchased a Chambers stove because I fell in love with it when I saw it. However, it smokes like a chimney when I turn it on. The smoke is primarily from the broiler and oven. It even comes out from the back of the stove. There is a little smoke coming from the burners, but it looks to be dust burning off.

First, is this normal? It didn't do it for the guy I bought it from.

Second, if it is normal, is there anything I should be doing? Should I let the thing burn until it stops smoking?

Third, if it isn't normal, any suggestions?

The smoke doesn't look terrible, but when I left the kitchen and then came back, it was thick enough that I couldn't see the far wall.

Smoke is not normal. It is possible that you are burning off some kind of residue left from some kind of cleaning solution. It could be that your stove was using LP gas and is now hooked to Natural gas. Or all your burners need to have their Air to Gas ratio adjusted properly. Get the Service Manual from me or Todd and properly adjust your stove. Your stoves condition could be harmful to your health!!!!

Thanks. I just found out that my girlfriend cleaned the stove before I turned it on and she didn't finish removing the cleaner.

I wouls like to get that manual, though. What do I need to do?
