Confessions.

SO finally stopped reading and looked into my office today. He said, "Okay, so why is it that you have two large manuals laying on the floor covered with two bricks each?"

I was compelled to offer the story of Ekans getting loose and putting him back in the tank [including the part where I "almost" cut off the arms of the couch.] Okay...he DID raise an eyebrow on that part.

It's all okay now, though. There's NOTHING to worry about [except maybe the guys in the white coats].

I've let Ekans fool around with the frontroom in the last few days [although watching him closely.] He can't seem to find anything UNDER the couch that suits him. I haven't waited to see if he finds anything IN the couch. He DID crawl around some photo albums under the end-table next to the couch, but THAT didn't interest him, nor did going into the kitchen.

THAT was enough for a day, so I put him back in his tank, where he promptly crawled under his log.

I'll figure it all out in time.

Don't hold back now, Cornboy. I figure you've got some REALLY good confessions just dying to be revealed. [I really HAD never intended to tell him about the thought of cutting open the couch.] I hadn't intended to tell him about exploding the eggs either, but there was a piece of eggshell caught behind a blind in the kitchen that he saw, and the fan on the refrigerator was making a noise like a piece of paper had been caught in it, and I said, "I doubt it's paper. It's more likely eggshell" and I was CAUGHT!

I don't know about being saintly, but I do know that he likes me BECAUSE of who I am and how my life turns, rather than IN SPITE of who I am and how my life turns. I don't think he wants a life where each day seems just like the last or the next.

I thought you had something really juicy that you were going to let loose with and its the snake again? I am deeply disappointed with you. False advertising - I'm going to complain to the Better Business Bureau!

I figured the business about Ekans and the couch was bound to come out sooner or later. The reaction by your SO seems significant. Apparently he is used to hearing bizarre tales from you. The man must be a saint.
