Drive starts tomorrow on Fox. It's written by people who wrote some shows I really like, so I'm looking forward to it. Might be worth checking out, seeing as there are some race fans here. Episodes one and two are on Sunday at 8 PM and from then on every Monday at 8, starting the day after tomorow. So that's three episodes to start things off. There will be a total of 13 episodes.

Here's a summary of the series I found on TV.com:

"Drive follows the lives of a group of Americans racing each other in a sinister and possibly mortal cross-country race. Each has a special reason to compete - and each must win. Among the racers are two brothers in a stolen, pimped-out Cadillac that carries secrets of its own, a man trying to find his missing wife, a scientist and his teenage daughter, and others. No one knows who they're racing or where the finish line is, so anything is possible."

Seems pretty vague. A race without knowing who you're racing or where it ends? But the writers promised the show will have a decent rounding off point by episode 13. So, it may be good, it might as well be crap. But I'm not one to get into a series when it's well underway, so let's Drive.

Thanks to the miracle of Candian TV I've already seen the first episode. And I must say I rather liked it. It has everything! Cars. Mystery. Murder. Crashes. Ans two of my favorite actors: Nathan Fillon and Dylan Baker. I liked the dad & daughter duo best. They're funny.

I'll go and watch the second episode now. Fun!

Okay, now I'm hooked. Something to fill up the void Prison Break left, I guess. Can't wait for Monday!

    Found this:

A blog of the whole production process. Quite interesting to see what's involved in creating an instant classic (I hope.)

I have a feeling this could be my newest favorite show...the trailers have been awesome plus it combines my love of racing with my love of soap operas!!! I will have to record it tonight though because I'm going to see Chevelle with my hubby.

I really liked it, but the problem so far is that the race element is around ten minutes per show. The rest is people trying to figure out where to go or getting stuck somewhere. I want to see more of cras pushing each other off the road and stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I like the story. I just want, like, 7 percent more action. It *is* an illegal cross-country race after all.

And I have this fear that Dylan Baker's character won't live to see the end of this 13 episode season...

I still haven't had a chance to watch Mondays show...I missed Sunday and was thinking I could find it on line and watch but sometimes just finding the time is my biggest problem as I prefer to watch my shows when the 3 year old is sleeping otherwise he interupts every scene.

And this is why God invented the HDD recorder. I love it. No rewinding and stuff. Although, I just use my computer. Usenet's a good and fast source for all my many, many exotic needs.
