Lemon Cake...but now I want a dog and kraut *sigh
robin fixed a really good grilled salmon...I made the salad and boiled new potatos
a slice of spinach, feta & mushroom pizza.
had a sweet tooth...fresh peach cobbler with real whipped cream
Ohhhhh *drooling* I love peach cobbler.
I had a friend bring me almost a gallon of fresh blackberries, Could ya, would ya...share a easy cobbler recipie...uh...I kinda...ya know...don't know how to make one.
Thanks and Hugs
LOL like I measure??..ok..take some bisquick and milk and mix it up thinish, but not too thin..add some sugar to the mix..and a tbl spoon or two of melted butter..butter the baking dish well..put the berries into the bowl ..use plenty of sugar and a dash of cinnamon..sprinkle a tsp of tapioca (the uncooked kind in the box)now pour the batter over the berries (it shouldn't be more than about two cups of batter...depending on how much you are making...dab butter on top and bake at 390 until golden brown and the berries are bubbling...sometimes I take a lemon yogurt and mix with the berries before pouring the batter over it...makes a nice taste and texture...you can also mix a little bisquick and brown sugar and softened butter until crumbly and sprinkle that on top too..like I said I don't measure LOL
I'm going to have to try that!!!
right after I posted that recipe for Rog...Chloe and Sammie Jr called me wanting to know how to make cobbler...one blackberry and the other blueberry...
I guessed on the measurements and I think it turned out pretty good (at least there was none that went to waste )
My brother brought me a portion of his recent harvest including some big red 'maters, green onions and more hot peppers (I don't know why I do, but I can't stop...they hurt so good)
For Supper I had a couple Burned Bolonga sandwishes with sliced 'maters and green onions...I'll save the peppers for Ham & beans next week
