I just bought a JRSC off ebay for my slow D16Z6. I'm missing the fuel enrichment relay, so I was thinking about getting JR's map controller. Will that be enough? Do I need an aftermarker Fuel Pressure Regulator? Will a VAFC work better(tuned of course)?

nope, that'll be perfect,
the JR map controller is a replacement and upgrade for the fuel enrichment relay.

It does everything the relay does, but better, and it does more stuff.

If you're at stock boost levels,
you're car will run flawlessly with just the JR fmu, and JR map controller.

It even lets you run more timing than if you had just the fuel relay.

Stop wasting your time with bandaides and buy a hondata system already. Worth every penny. Especially if you get one for a great price off of ebay.

no you wont need the relay or map controller with uberdata and uberdata will do everything hondata does..
so you dont need to worry about that either.

You will have to ditch the fmu and run larger injectors however.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Tad is correct. I'm running Uberdata on my JRSC D16Z6. I created the base map myself, scaled for my injectors. It's pretty easy with a little common sense. There are also a ton of info in various forums on the subject of tuning.

Uberdata 1.70 seems to be the latest and most stable version at the moment.

You need a chipped ECU, a chip burner, and larger injectors. You will also need to relocate your map sensor so that it is seeing boost from the manifold.

I'm running 310cc injectors which are sufficient for the stock kit at stock boost levels. Any more boost and you'll need to go larger.

Ok well I have a B&M FPR with an underhood gauge, I also bought 440cc RC injectors. My ecu is getting chipped with a basemap and I am getting it tuned in the spring. But I wont be driving it until then. But I have to drive about 3 hrs to get it on the dyno. Where do I have to put the mapsensor??? Is there a way you could send me your basemap so maybe I could show it to the guy chipping my ecu and then he could compensate for my larger injectors? Im totally new to all this... thanx for being patient guys. Oh and im sorry for hijacking the thread.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I had an extra map sensor. So, I left the original in the throttle body. That way I don't need to make a block off plate and I have an extra in the car just in case. The other map sensor I ran a vacuum line to from the manifold. I used a few small zip ties secure the vacuum line to the sensor so that it doesn't slip off from boost and vibration. Just connect it to the harness and everything will work fine.

As far as the basemap goes. You should read up and do it yourself. There are numerous resources on the net.
