My motor is fully built with fully ported and polished head, forged rods, 10:5:1 srp pistons, and Hondata.
Right now Im running Crower 404 and its putting out 189hp and 145 ftlbs on a dynapack.
Im going to boost this motor using JRSC and was wondering if I should swap it out for the 301 or should I use my current setup?
Crower 404 spec
lift 445 intake 434 exhaust
duration 299 intake 291 exhaust
JG 301 spec
lift 417 intake 408 exhaust
duration 274 intake 250 exhaust

Is your car making 189 WHP naturally aspirated ??? If so, I suspect you will not make any more power with a JRSC than what you are making now.

It was dynoed in at 217hp and 171ftlbs on the same dynapack. I was boosting 12psi on a m-45 and it was running incredibly hot. I had a lot of heat soak. It was tuned with a lot of timing retarded, and the tuner said with race fuel or something to cool down the heat soak, I can get another 20-30hp easily.
I just removed the charger and working on the polishing the manifold and porting out the S-tube as we speak. Hopefully when I put it back together I can see some gain and a little less heat soak.
I also installed water/methanol 50/50 injection, so I hope that will help as well.
There are few issues Im concern with...Should I?
1. Lower to 9-10psi using the stock crank pulley and MVM stepper pulley.
2. Leave it as is boosting 12lbs and depend on my port work with water/methanol injection to cool down the heat soak.
3. Swap the JG 201 cams in and boost at 9-10psi.
4. Swap the JG 201 cams in and boost 12psi.

Oh I forgot, yes it was 189hp on a dynapack N/A. Its about 10% higher on a dynojet, so its actually 180whp.
