When you replaced your GSR's rear swaybar with the Type R swaybar, did you feel the need to tighten the suspension up some more with a rear upper strut bar?

I already own a rear upper strut bar, and I'm afraid that when I add the Type R swaybar (it's in the mail, on the way), I may make the car's handling characteristics more "unpredictable."

Slap it on, you wont tell a difference. I mean, honestly you wont. You can tell yourself you do, but you wont.

Im not saying i know everything, but the rear/upper isnt really necessary. I have one, but i used it to hold my autox tires in the trunk when i daily drove.

A better "bang for the buck" would be a rear/lower tie bar(Neuspeed i believe works with the R bar), but then again, it wont be night/day difference.

Where you will show a difference is in the spring rates and struts.

The typeR swaybar (by itself) IS a night and day difference though, right?

I'll probably take off my rear/upper when I receive my typeR swaybar, just to make more room for my 2 JL 10's. Trunk space is at a premium in my car.

When i went from a 13mm to a 21mm rear swaybar on my car, i really couldn't tell that much of a difference. Thats the same differecne you are going to. I mean, at the limit im sure it helps, but no, its not a night/day difference.

I noticed a HUGE difference going from stock GSR swaybar to a 19mm ST swaybar. The car went from chronicly understeering to a nice neutral place where I can make it understeer or oversteer at will.

That's what I'm afraid of. . . oversteer. If I add the TypeR swaybar and my car handles close to neutral, I'll be happy. But I'm thinking that an additional rear upper strutbar would be kinda overkill.

I can't say for an ITR sway bar, but the 19mm bar I put on my car did not make the handling twitchy or dangerous at all.

    It is fully controlable.

.........this is off on a tangent, but. I recently switched back to 400lb front/600lb rear spring rates WITH the R 22mm rearswaybar(spring rates were reversed untill i could earn enough talent to drive that thing!). Now that, will make a car "twitchy". Just have to keep your concentration up!

I got it through A&H Motors. Here is a link to instructions on install and prices.

I got the mounting kit from the guy that made the webpage.
