Has anyone tried the ITR cam or the Crower FI cams with there JRSC setup?? and how much whp and trq did you gain with how much boost?? Please let me know because I need more power [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

my .02 .... I used a Crower Cam in a D16Y8 that is SCed running 9psi ... I used the "turbo/supercharger" cam that Crower advertises ... I was totally dissatisfied ...I can't even tell I put a cam in the engine.... little or no change in how the car handled or felt, power wise.
I understand that Skunk2 is comming out with cams for the D16Y8 and when they do, I'm gonna swap the Crower out.
In the trash the Crower cam goes, alot of money down the drain !
Go with a cam maker that is dedicated to the import scene.
Like Skunk2 or someone else.
I personally don't think Crower did much R&D before they put this cam on the market.
Now I am speaking from my point of view, and I understand that you probably don't have a D16Y8.

lcopas , did you dyno tune the cams ? d16ya ..? is that the single over head cam 1.6l ?

at this point i havent seen any cam changes w/ jrscs where the hp+ justify the price . $600 cams + $150+ time/labor + $? dyno tuning = 4 to 8hp increase if your lucky . now if i was building up my head anyway i might think about a cam change , but if your top end is in working order money could be spent more wisely . unless you want to join the list of honorable pioneers here .

id like to see this proved wrong ... its depressing .

I thought skunk2 was allmotor?....I thought they don't deal with FI stuff......if this is true then I might just wait on the cams.
