wasn't someone on this board doing a supercharger and turbo setup a couple months back??
I have the oportunity to buy a jrsc pretty cheap... I already have a turbo and a fully built motor...
I wonder if it would be worth all the trouble.. I wonder what type of electronics would be needed to manage detonation...
any thoughts?

Don't waste your time. Simply spend the extra money to buy components so you can turn the boost up on the turbo. It looks like you already have the built motor.
Perhaps look into an engine management system. An appropriate sized turbo will give you plenty of power with minimal lag.
I don't know what else your setup consists of but look into a J&S, some guages, sticky tires, suspension goodies, etc instead of trying to make some bastard creation that'll just give you a lot of headaches.

The supercharger is gone. Get ready for the turbo.

The "real" reason to have multi-stage forced induction is too run crazy boost.
I mean really crazy! 50+psi into mammoth V12 diesel boat motors is the only picture I've seen. It was a dual stage, twin turbo setup using two sequential turbos on EACH bank of 6!
