    I used to run 5w-50 Castrol Syntec, but now I run Mobil 1 10w-30 in my '91 1.5L and change it every 5000 miles.
    However, I have heard that synthetics can do more harm than good around 175,000 plus miles so I am considering going back to cheaper conventional oil and change it say... every 2500...My car has 178,000 miles on it now.
