no way man you will still need aftermarket motor mounts and wiring harness work. hasport makes a great set of mounts. and also your shift linkage will need to be modified. or replaced.

    Question

    On that note...
I'm looking to put a b16a1 in my 1989 hatch... now...
The tranny is still compatible or no? I know I'll get the matching ecu unless someone can recommend a better one...

I just started upgrading my car so... and just got into the car tuning scene...

The trans off your current motor will not work on the b16. You have a d series trans and the b16 is a b series motor. Normally when you buy a swap it comes with the trans. smile
