Emissions!!!!

well it was true about Washiington having strict emission standards like California. I read an article in the news paper today about it. we were talking about this at the last meet. but it wont go into effect probably around 2009. so not to worry about anytime soon.

Yeah, I never read anything about it I just heard about it. Good thing it will be awhile till it gos into effect.

Don't get your panties in a bunch yet, they have to pass it in the state legislation before it becomes a law. What I see is if it passes, the whole state will have emission testing (a cash cow for the state), that's fine with me as we here have to do it already, but other folks may not feel the same about it happening. And the car companies for sure don't like it at all, so expect a big fight over it happening and it's not going to change the emisson standards for the older cars, but get this, some cars are now being plugged into a reader for seeing if any codes come up and if they do you fail right on the spot. And by the way, most people don't know how to check for codes anyway unless the engine check light stays on. Then get this, you can have a code come up that's a false one because of a electrical glich and fail emissions, I know my car throws a #41 when I take a trip down to California every time at the same place and nothings wrong, it's just gettting the engine cleaned out and does it and if I reset the ECU it goes away till my next trip down there, weird huh?
