Yes, I'm referring to jay pink, kei-kun, and whatever other of their idiotic friends they have using the RI thread as their personal AIM conversation. They never check outside of that thread, so referring to them won't be a factor in this topic.
They add absolutely nothing to the board, and are completely ruining what was already a lackluster topic.I think modding them everytime they use the board as an AIM topic should be allowed, they've ignored Miguel's countless warnings. And, if they keep it up, we ban them, as they've not only been doing this spam, they've flamed many members in the past.

(Sorry I haven't had much time to check the board.)
But if they are doing as you say (especially flaming members and ignoring warnings) then something must be done. Maybe I can check things out further this weekend.

I've created a message board for them, which can be found here. I hope they take the bait.
BTW, HMAIMeC is short for Home for the Aol Instant Messenger Challenged.
If this fails, i propose a banning on their arsch.

I doubt they'll go there. But it might work.

Making AIM chats on the board moddable.
Our current rule 4.5:
4.5. No spam is allowed. Common ways to spam the board are posting several times in a row to the same thread, posting the same message over and over, posting the same message to several threads, posting to increase your post count, posting countdowns, and chain letters.
Although it's subject to moderators' judgement, spam is moderable. The rule just mentions common ways to spam. We can consider annoying posting spam and mod it. I'm personally more bothered by how they're wasting their time instead of posting decently to the rest of the board, than that stupid thread, but if you think they should be moderated, you can interpret 4.5 freely on AIM chat and mod. Once you've modded them enough, if they're still spamming and don't post normally, I'll issue warnings and bans appropiately. What do you think?
I'll be mentioning using the board for instant messaging between real life friends in the next edition of the rules.
LOL @ Aol Instant Messenger Challenged. Thanks for making the board OCB, I hope they move there (or stop spamming and post normally) so we don't have to take any actions.

Imo you know too that they won't go there. Only using 1 topic from a "million".

HK's right. If the're only in that topic, why should they bother reading this one?

Ok, I've done all I can to explain how our board works. I've been specially clear and detailed. If they change, they'll be welcome. If they don't, I'll close the thread temporarily to force using other threads. If the situation persists, I'll ban them. I always hate to have to enforce things like this and use the moderator features, especially on new people who don't seem to get what's a message board yet, but important members are pissed, so I will.
