Never saw this coming. I suppose they needed something on the Wii to appeal to J-RPG fans (and to equate the 360's Mist Walker). Its a very good move, and even though Xenosaga is done and dusted, they definitely have the talent to pull out something just as ambitious.

If only somebody redid Xenogears/did Xenogears episodes 1-4 and 6. Having Takahashi would help, but I believe a different team could do the job if they were properly skilled, motivated and funded, and they didn't innovate.

Ok, now I feel much better. So it's good news I suppose, because nobody seems to be doing much at Monolith.

N - Agreed. And worringly, this month is quite literally void of any Wii releases.

I'm actually pretty excited for the Wii version of Spider-man 3, but I've always been a big Spider-man fan since I wa s kid. Next month we get Pokemon.
But yeah. One game worth buying a month is pretty lame. Since release, so far we've had (In the US) Wii Play, Super Paper Mario, Wario Ware, the Godfather, and now Spider-man 3 (Which could turn out to be gimmicky), and soon Pokemon. That's enough games for me, since I like all of those, but there's not a whole lot of variety for other Wii owners.

Yep. One decent 1st party game a month; if you dont like the game, bad luck.
I think its going to be the GC all over again until the 3rd party support kicks in. No doubt, most developers were late to market because of the skepticism that still lingered around Nintendo's domestic console releases, instead preferring to develop for the then upcoming, and potentially more lucrative, PS3 launch. Now that the Wii's proven itself to be the greater commerical success (at least for the moment), we should start to see more and more of these 3rd party titles filling in the release schedule.

Xeno-whatever for Wii? that'd be a surprise. At any rate, perhaps any "chrono"-stuff would be welcome too. isn't it?

There are some games of interest coming up on the Wii. Namely No More Heroes. Which looks to be godly.

Thats still Square Enix's IP, i believe. Although I think Mist Walker are catering for our Chrono-cravings by offering Blue Dragon on the 360.
Monolith-Soft are developing a game for the Wii called "Disaster: Day of Crisis", and have yet another title to reveal later on. Miyamoto stated recently that Nintendo intend on catering for the more mature, "hardcore" gamers this time round: maybe the acquisition of Monolith-Soft is their way of showing they intend to deliver on that promise.
