Yup. It's as Shini said. [From Nietzsche's The Will to Power] Every living creature has the desire to cover, to expand, and to rule the Universe, and in its attempt to do so, it finds other individuals with the same goal, so they ally or fight, until some balance is reached. The Will to Power fuels reproduction and natural selection and evolution. Life is Will to Power in itself. It's the human (and life's) nature to want to conquer, dominate, control, and try that others share our opinions and views. Dominating the world would be an orgasmic realization of one's Will to Power.

No no, i just don't think everyone wants to take over the world. Why can't people be happy with that they have?

Because its a rule of nature. If an animal see's a small piece of food next to a big piece, it will go for the larger piece. Same applies to humans in that we want new and better things as we grow up.

Yup. In gamer terms, it's like why you want the sequel to a game when you have the original, or a newer console.
