Well, i think its better to experience with the game than just heard. And i suppose it had to be ridiculously poppy to suit the gameplay conventions, i cant imagine dancing to Slipknot on that...although Metallica might work, lol.

Daitenkai is Japanese rap.... kinda.
Alot of em aren't pop, just dance music. Go to a night club and it's very familiar to DDR songs.

lol i try to play it in arcades but too much trouble to drive somewhere and play and so i bought ddrmax! weeee! and all i need now is the dance pad T_T and it's fun with the peppy music makes my day

I played for a while at arcades, I got good at some songs and could actually dance to them while hitting the arrows... unfortunately, the only arcade that has it isn't too close and is expensive (75 frickin cents!). There was a tournament there once for it, and a jamaican guy won who break-danced to every single thing, with perfect timing. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

I'm bad at playing DDR with my feet...with a computer keypad on the other hand...

I can now do most 6 feet and 7 feet Standard songs... my friends keep getting better and better... doing 9 feet heavys like it's no problem, and almost always getting Cs and Bs on oni songs >_<
