I'm all for bringing Lyra in See you Friday!
What is the consensus about this upcoming Friday with Thaylias' player not in attendance?
My personal preference would be to continue with the dark temple since that was left off at a cliffhanger.

Sounds fine.
Argh.
Apologies to all. I settled down to get rid of a headache about two hours ago, and THOUGHT I set the alarm. I didn't, obviously. I went in anyway, but by then, looks like the game was cancelled because I didn't show Again, I'm very sorry.
Hope to see you next weekend instead then.

We thought perhaps you realized what day it was (Good Friday) or something came up. Chris cancelled after waiting about a half hour.
So, this upcoming game session...do we want to resume the battle with the giants, or play one of the other sets for a change?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">We do have a couple of choices, including both very low level characters and pretty high level ones. Celene, Seara and Aoborr could be played, but Mark doesn't have anyone of a comparable level. Of course, you can always choose to play them next time Mark is unavailable.Originally posted by Lyssandra:

Another option, and while I am not endorsing yet but metrely offer it as a possibility, is to have Mark generate a character of comparable level. That's something I wouldn't mind seeing discussion on.
And while we are throwing out fodder for thought, what does everyone think of players playing 2 characters simultaneously? We were too new at this when we used Be Seen, and Parachat would not permit it. But having played oakshade while DMing, I can see that this is now at least technically viable. With Rahne and Terrence not playing, your party is smaller, and the DM now has to keep an NPC in the party just to make it surviveable. A second character for some players (those interested in the extra effort) might make things more interesting. It also brings up additional headaches as well, and by suggesting this, I may be opening Pandora's Box.
Please discuss these options here. I would love to get everyone's thoughts. And of course, an answer to Nancy's question would be good before next week .
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Agrgh. then I missed you guys like by five minutes, tops. I appreciate you all waiting so long, I'm just very embarrassed it happened and very sorry for the loss of the group's game time Originally posted by Lyssandra:

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That would be fine with me, but there sometimes is a lack of attachment or dimension to characters of higher level made on the fly. If that's not a problem for Mark, then that might just be spiffy. And there's nothing saying some famililal or other relation to an NPC or even PC couldn't exist, which might help circumvent that problem if problem it is.Originally posted by Starshadow:

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It sounds possible, even fun, and would certainly make us more sympathetic to you with all the monsters, NPCs, and so forth YOU have to juggle each week. I think one would eventually be favored over the other, that's only natural, and a few ground rules from you about it would likely have to be laid down. Some pretty obvious like if I'm playing Tweedle the Barbarian AND JoJo the Rogue, JoJo won't just defer to giving Tweedle the good weapons all the time, and Tweedle wouldn't necessairly do anything for JoJo.And while we are throwing out fodder for thought, what does everyone think of players playing 2 characters simultaneously? And no, I never intend to use those names for real
I've played multiple characters before, but then I'm also used to being an ST in the WoD. (Ran a Werewolf campaign online that ran for seven years)so I'm not entirely adverse to bringing in Celene or Gwylln to Tindale. Mark does have Garrick, another fighter, that ought to be comparable in level now to Aoborr, Celene and Seara should that mid-level group reform and play stand alone adventures again.
As for Dramavictim's comment about 'padding' the characters with all the good items, remember that in game trades are always possible if someone gets heavy in one particular type of treasure, as happened when Oakshade traded the Bracers of Health for the flaming Longbow. Since I don't have the inventory of everyone playing, I've been trying to allocate treasure by approximate monetary value and usefulness to the given character rather than looking at the item type: something like the Vorpal Bastard Sword is the exception since there'll likely be few items to ever compare to the monetary value of that blade.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Garrick was retired from play. I would not be adverse to him being brought out of retirement. Mark will have to speak for himself, but I think he has not the attachment to that character that he has for others, because it was not his from the start. Valley's concerns of the character not having a history are of the same vein, but he might like making one all by himself at a higher level better. We shall see.Originally posted by Lyssandra:

If he is interested, I might be able to woprk with him to give it some kind of past history and breathe more life into him....or perhaps take an existing character and boost it.
