Hurley faced some adversity early, but proved too much in the second half as improve to 3-0.
Shane Justice had 194 yards on 21 carries, 4 rushing TDs. Issac Stacy had 77 yards on 7 carries with 1 TD as well as 50 yards passing.
Defensively, Hurley's DL dominated the game, highlighted by the performances of DE Alex Prater (6 Tackles, 1 Assist, 2 Sacks) and DT James Johnson (7 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 Sack). MLB Joey May led the team with 8 Tackles and 5 Assists.

You have to pull for any team that play with that much heart. That is where maybe the kids from TV are hurtin, hopefully they pick it up.

Conrats to Hurley,
If things keep going well you could be 8-0 by the time you play Honaker, which would make it a very tuff game for us.

Now that is what i like to hear right there.......but i think the end result would be 8-1 after not saying that it could not be pulled but reality is reality.

Well, I still think that we are much better, but I'm still glad the BDD is winning no matter who they are.

Do i think Hurley is better than Honaker.......heck no! Do i think Hurley will beat Honaker......heck no! Do i think there is always a possibility that an upset could occur....damn straight. But i would bet a paycheck on Honaker right now.

To any who has seen, who is playing better, Haysi or Honaker?
Before the season started, Haysi seemed to be a little more vunerable than Honaker. However, with some reports of Honaker struggling with Clintwood and Haysi dominating CW, maybe I was wrong.
Still yet, Hurley has not met a team who remotely compared to Haysi nor Honaker. Sadly, we won't face a team of that caliber until Haysi comes to Hurley in October. Heck, I don't even know if Hurley wins all its games up to that point (with Tug Valley and Big Creek still to go, given our past history with them, we aren't guaranteed a thing). The trip to Thomas Walker worries me (the trip, not the opponent) and Hurley has to prove they can finish a season as well as they start one.
The boys and coaches are taking things one week at a time, and so far, so good. Here's hoping that we run the table!
