Playoffs

Once again I have been doing some figuring and it looks like Honaker will outpoint Powell Valley and Clintwood and make the playoffs if Lebanon and St.Paul win next friday.

I was looking at the points as well, i have figured the same thing. If things work out(The Cove winning the cumberland, and lebanon beating richlands), It will be:

1. Gate City
2. Haysi
3. Rye Cove
4. Honaker

Anyone else got this result besides me and livinglegend?

I just re-did my points, and I messed up. Powell Valley has pretty much clinched that position if Rye Cove wins the cumberland.

How much better is Honaker than Clintwood or The Cove?

Rye Cove sucks. Honaker beat them like 40-6 and Haysi killed them as well. Clintwood is pretty good, better than Honaker and better than Haysi, but it looks like Honaker and Haysi both could make it over Clintwood.

I don't think Clintwood is better than Haysi or Honaker at this point in the season. I believe both schools could beat Clintwood. Granted Haysi lost to Clintwood and beat Honaker so going by the ole who beat who thing Clintwood should be able to beat both schools. But I don't think that is the case. I think Clintwood peaked early in the season and Haysi and Honaker are beginning to peak now. But we will probably never see cause I don't think any of the three teams will meet in the playoffs.

I've never seen Clintwood play. I think it would be a good match up between them and Honaker. I would definitly like to see us get another crack at Haysi in the playoffs [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Clintwood has a great ballteam but its like they havent improved since the begining of the season

I was at the St. Paul - Rye Cove game last Friday and talked to a couple of Honaker coaches that said that if Sullivan North lost (Powell Valley gets no power points) and Lebanon beat George Wythe (Honaker gets power points for defeating Lebanon), then Honaker could be in. I would personally like to see Honaker play Gate City in round 1 because Honaker nearly beat them last year, and I don't think our depth could hang with Gate City for 4 quarters.
