At least the Belle era teams were exciting, tough, intimidating, and a legit playoff contender. Now they are a mild group of nice guys who are short on talent, long on "good attitude". What a joke.

I'd rather have an overachieving team that wins 90 games than an underachieving team that wins 90.

Thinker, I think you mean no playoff series wins the since 98 season, we haven't been swept since our playoff run in 95 started.

Well, the only thing I'm wondering is, how can our non-homr-run hitting threats be getting so many walks?

At some point, you've got to figure that the opposing teams will start challenging this team with STRIKES!

Our 5-1 start has been really special primarily because of our pitching AND the LOW strikeouts and HIGH walk rates our hitters have achieved.

Who woulda thunk we would be opening at home with a 5-1 record? I don't even have any complaints about Cholly! I do think the walks (we lead the league) are due to Murray's influence.
I have been watching the ex-Tribe pitchers with Texas. Only Woodard is doing well. Rocker, Burba, and Rodriquez all **** .

I forgot...who did we put on the roster to release Woodard? Was it Paranto?

I don't think Woodard's success will last, especially in Texas. Glad he is starting out well at least.

Well...3 HRs today...I think that walks with lack of power can win, they just have to get that key hit.

Today we only got 1 walk and 8 strikeouts...but we still scored 9 runs by the end of the 4th inning against Milton!

A closer look reveals that Milton threw 80 pitches, but 53 of them for strikes...a rather high rate of strikes compared to balls (53 strikes, 27 balls).

In an effort to combat our ability to draw the walk, Milton may have overcompensated and put the ball over the juicy part of the plate.

It's ying and yang, if your team is drawing a lot of walks, the opposing team is probably trying to throw the perfect pitch instead of just get strikes...so the logical thing is to just throw strikes...but then we score 9 runs by the fourth!

There sure ain't much to complain about...(and that IS NOT a complaint)
