Hi Terratec users!
I am using a EWS64xl + a Mindprint-unit to record. Now I would like to connect two more units digitally to my computer, see below.
Unit1 --> *A/D --> *DIGITAL IN
Unit2 --> *A/D --> *DIGITAL IN
Unit3 --> Mindprint --> EWS64xl Coax In
I need some kind of (2) *A/D (external) and (2) *DIGITAL IN interface(s) (internal; computer). This would make editing/rec/playback a lot easier, since all the units would be controlled in/from the computer. Any suggestions of how I should do?
Thanx!

Don?t be disappointed, but I don?t think that this is going to work. If you want to use several digital connected devices at the same time, you will need a wordclock connection via BNC cable to sync them. As the EWS doesn?t provide any wordclock, it won?t be possible to do it with this card.
One possibility would be to use two EWS 64 the same time - without ASIO :-((
If you want more analog inputs of higher quality, it will be easier for you if to get an audio card with an ADAT input (for example RME hammerfall) and to use a decent 8-channel AD-converter. If you want to use three MindPrints the same time, you?ll need something like a MotU card and connect it all via AES/EBU.

- Thanx Philipp!
I thought this wouldn't be possible because of the digitial sync-problems. Have you tried to use 2 Ews64xl cards at the same time? How does it work? Any problems etc..

Two cards together work pretty good.
Some limitations:
- the newer Setmanager doesn?t get along with two cards, but it?s too buggy anyway
- Windows 2000 drivers don?t support two cards
- ASIO drivers support only one card
Otherwise, everything worked. Both cards may be connected via SPDIF.
Anyway, I just sold one of my cards. Two EWS seemed to be nice, but I didn?t need that much sample RAM in the end.
Bye, Philipp
