I can only get to 6 stereo tracks with a P111-800 128M and many GB's? How come? I had the same prob with the P-550, ie, after about 4 stereo tracks the bass (Last track on) wandered out of time. I have DMA on, and have employed IRQ polling to tighten Midi timing. I have tried a number of Wave Play Buffer figures from 5-40 ms- no real change. I have only 2 Wave Plays enabled and use WavePlay1 for timing master. This is using Cakewalk PA 9.0. The computer is dedicated to HD Recording ie no modems etc and all unnecesary background functions have been disabled. Also have used cacheman to set V-cache sizes. DiskBench says I should get 70 tracks/16 bit.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Sound like software problem... PII400/256M/n*GB and with ACiD 25+tracks, no prob. Also Samplitude gives more than 20 tracks with weaker machine (PII266/256M). Try updating CPA to latest version. Also, you could try Cakewalk's support (unless... well you know if pir8d software...)

also, go to (Yes! To the Arnold's! wink) http://www.ews64.com/cakewalk.html

There are some answers regarding Cakewalk's audiotracks...

    Hopefully helps!
