Any one got any ideas on this? The ASIO driver for my EWS 64XL used to be great (10ms) in Fruity Loops and Reason. Some time after I installed Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 and Windows Media player I get a warning saying "not enough channels". I have un-installed and re-installed the sound drivers about 50 times but no change.
I have checked for things running in background but even with only explorer and systray things don't get better.
Is there something lurking in the registry I can clean up??
Surely Cakewalk stuff doesn't disable ASIO!!
Hey.. theres always something...

Yeah, there's definitely always something...
I had similar problems with my EWS a while back, because my system was a real mess. Only a complete format and reinstall of everything helped. As Terratec did advice, only install ASIO on a clean system... I don't know if this was to any help to you -just a reminder if nothing else. Hope you get it fixed!
