<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've been on several tours of the MacIntosh plant in Binghamton NY...Before and after Clarion bought them out. Clarion has pretty much left MacIntosh alone in designing and manufacturing High-End audio. What they have done is taken their designs and encorporated them into some of their designs.

So NOT always does being bought out by a bigger company mean it's death. For years Altec was owned by LTV..and still thriving very well.
