There are two pairs of Voice of the Theatre speakers on eBay right now. I do not know anything about them except that the "Buy It Now" prices are $250 and $500. You don't even have to bid!
The $250 speakers are in Miami Beach, FL, the picture is really poor, but they look like they might be Valencias or maybe even Magnificents.
The $500 speakers are in Ithaca, NY, have better pictures, look ok, are in utility/shipping cabinets (heavy case, handles, front covers).
If I was any where near either one, I'd jump on them - but someone else might be near and could take advantage.

The Valencias (or whatever they were) in Florida are gone. The $500 A-7s in New York in the utility/concert cases are listed at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Clarification: The $250 pair in Florida are about the size of Valencias - with flat grilles might make them 846B. But, at $250 for the pair, if they are in any kind of condition at all ...

The $250 pair was Flamenco's, same drivers as the Valencia's, the pictures looked like they came from a disposable digital camera, or a junky camera phone, Dave.
PS - I smell a scam, they were listed twice???

BTW, thanks for this post "idea-catalyst", a friend of mine lives in CNY and he's making a trip tomorrow to check these speakers out. Appreciate the heads up!

Actually, I stewed and fussed over this one and finally submitted a bid for $450. I really don't need them - I have a pair of 19s and a pair of valencias already and my wife would have a cow - and then I found that UPS would deliver them to me for less than $200 door to door. The $450 bid was a way to salve my conscience. I figured that way that if I got them, then I got them. Either way, it is what was meant to be... Ah well. Go for them if they look good - I received a couple of email respponses from the seller and he sounded ok.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I just realized I may not have been clear. My friend is in CNY, Central New York and is travelling down to Ithaca to check them out.
