Hi Vince, I just sent you an email with some simple instructions for posting pics here.

If you have email blocks set up then check to see if you can get it from me.

Simply go to photobucket and register.

Then once you're signed in, if you don't see 3 text boxes each with a "browse" button to the right of them and a single "upload" button below them, you'll need to click "albums and upload" from the far left of the menu bar at the top of the page, but the text boxes should be there as soon as you're logged in.

From that point just click a "browse" button and find the pic file in your computer you want to upload.

Upload times vary depending on traffic at the site, be patient they'll load.

As you get pics uploaded into your account, each pic will display a thumbnail view with a few links below it. clicking those links copies them to your clipboard, the bottom link is the direct pic URL that you'll simply paste in the message box here.

After you've pasted the URL in the message box, you should be able to click the "preview" button and see how your pic will appear in the thread.

They key to remember is that even tho you see the pic displayed here at the Altec board, it's actually hosted at photobucket and if you remove it from your photobucket album, it will no longer display anywhere you've pasted the URL.

Sorry Vince, the email addy you have on file got kicked back as you not being a customer!

Here is what I wrote up for another fishing forum I frequent so just change the forum name in the text.

    Gary

Posting pictures is simple and resizing them is even easier.

It helps if you know how to open a second window. Click down on the bottom task bar where it says Ice Fishing Forums to drop it down, then do what you do to get to your Internet browser- most just click the E to the left. You should now have both Ice Fishin Forums and your web browser in the task bar on the bottom in two separate windows. Clicking on either will bring up that window and clicking on it again will bring it back down.

Bring up your web browser window and go to www.photobucket.com, this is a completely free picture hosting site. You need to register for an account-FREE.
Once registered you will be given space for a Picture Album called. MY ALBUM.
After you are registered, go to the site and click on MY ALBUM.
Go to where it says ADD PICTURES from URL. On the right click in the browse window.
This opens the files on your computer where your pictures are probably stored in MY PICTURES. You might have to click on MY DOCUMENTS to get to the MY PICTURES file. Click on the MY PICTURES file and find a picture you want to send to your album. Double click it. Now click submit and wait for it to download to your album.
Once it is in your ALBUM, scroll down to view it and notice under each picture there is an edit key. Click this and scroll down to resize. I find all my stored pictures work great at IFF if I resize to 50% so click this.
You will also see under each picture there are three choices, URL, TAG, & IMG. The bottom one, IMG, works great for forums.
When you are doing a post, type what you want to say all the way to the end.
Drop IFF down and bring Photo bucket up. Find your picture in MY ALBUM and click on the IMG line under it to highlight it. Go up top and click EDIT, then COPY.
Now bring the IFF post back up. Go to the very last letter or period and click at the very end, then hit enter to start a new line.
Go up and click EDIT, then PASTE.
Your picture is now in your thread and will show when the thread is open.

Your Album at photo bucket holds many, many photos and as long as you don?t delete a photo from your album, it will remain in any threads you added it to.
