Also might build some stands.

Hi, Chris, just noticed your post...the backs aren't removeable. I have a pair of 620B cabinets for my 604G's and everything on the inside gets done through the driver mouting hole. Cangratulations on finding the grills with the cabinets!

As for the veneer, I lightly sanded mine with very fine paper and used tung oil to bring out the grain, it looks nice, but the original patina was removed.

I strongly recommend building Jeff Markwarts Improved crossovers for them, I think you'll like the improvement, plus it's a lot of fun.
