FWIW, those look like Eminence/Utah frames, of course probably at least a dozen other companies also used the same or very similar frames. I think i've seen CTS 15's with a zinc or tin plated version of that frame and a cone/dustcap combo very close to a real Altec.
The bumped backplate is also very similar to those of eminence, but there's something i can't quite put my finger on that keeps me from yelling out "eminence".
IMO&E, if there's anything "Altec" about them at all besides being round, it'd have to be Altec Technologies, and they don't have an imported enough look to qualify for that.

What apparently they are, after much offensive language from the guy, is Eminence from Urei 813's.
Don't have original cones.
He said they were Altec VOTT speakers, and ranted and raved when I told him they weren't. Urei 813 is no way VOTT.
When I called them cheap tin frames, it hit the fan.
Anyway, I can see how he could be confused but his arrogance is pathetic.
At least he did change the post.

Yes this is the line in his auction( I got too many "experts" and "pundits" emailing me about them as not being Altec Lansing.
Rather than argue a point I can't possibly prove from over 30 years ago, I'll revise the listing
