6l6 Altec Amp

I've been thinking about building a power amp for a while and I've found some Altec schematics online. These are some of them to name the few VINTAGE Schematics!!!! - AudioKarma.org Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums

I have a few 6l6s (not GCs) on hand with old OPT that's around 8ks. Which of these amps would you recommend for me to build? The 323C or 333A look pretty simple. But aren't they suppose to be a PA system? I am not sure.

Half the reason for the sound of an Altec is Peerless transformers.

I would recommend going another direction...check with guys in a tube amp forum about a circuit optimum for your components, rather than picking a circuit and trying to fit your parts in.

Excellent and sound advice as always. I agree! Those peerless must be good and they are expansive! I did a little research online and it seems that 8k opts are good for 6l6 amps. And I found a few 6l6 based Altec amps so I decided to ask.
