we call em big berthas, i think the plans came from jbl. The ports originally made them am optimal load for k-151/2240, i don;t know what that business is with the extensions on the sides.
This is coming up for auction locally..... any ideas what it is? There are also some Peavey horns (FH-1?) in the same auction.

Not all vegetables make good leaders.
Kinda weird added sides to a JBL box. Not particularly great, loud, no deep bass.

My little girl kitty would sit in there, I'm sure...... she seems to like hidey holes.
I did some searching last night. Bertha, or Big Bertha seems to be reserved for an EAW W cabinet. I found much talk of adding a Levan extension, that enables it to go lower. Sounded like it was used in clubs in that configuration.
I think the JBL version is this, designed by D.B. Keele

I find this amusing/interesting since I just met Don Keele a few months ago.
The extensions that Bowtie pointed out make me wonder if these cabinets were built into a stage.

Drove to take a look at the cabinets....... lot's of stuff, including some Marshall's that'll probably go for way more than I can spare. I probably should have taken those seriously, and researched the resale value on those in case I could get them for something below that number. All the stuff looks like it's been sitting for awhile.

I have about a million drawings like that, not sure of origin,

As I surmised, the extensions that Bowtie pointed out, are non-acoustic in nature. They simply make the cabinet larger on the outside.

The big cabinets went for $40-ish each, and the FH-1's went for $40 per pair. I bid but didn't win. All appeared to be Peavey loaded, but working condition unknown. Transport and storage was an issue, besides limited funds. The Marshall stuff went much higher...... they're may have been some money to be made, but I don't know the guitar market at all.
