You'd think asking $9000 he wouldn't lay them on concrete pavers to take the pictures.
They've been for sale for months.
Seems a little steep considering one is obviously a recone with the "wrong" surround etc. Are they worth that kind of money to a collector? I can't imagine they even sound that good with the 2000 hz crossover--really pushing the upper range of that 15" woofer. Hope that's not a sacrilegious statement.....

EDIT: This pair is at least matched and look to both be all original and the cabs are a work of art! I can see a collector with money to burn paying the asking price for these (but I guess the first pair is much more rare?). Anyone know what the crossover frequency is on these (does the 1000 mean 1000 hz)?

Sort of interesting his are 1940 when they were introduced in 1944.
Your neighbors called. They like your music.
one pair has a bakelite spider, other not. they are hollywood frames and motors. but the aftermarket cone and spider is a huge deal breaker for me. i'm putting my best bid at 2800$

Maybe they're not so rare? Here's another one for sale--at least this guy seems to have the correct year?
