the only drawback is it will be caveman era digital tech- almost 20 years old. I could likely do better with a mini DSP.

People still make and use passive crossovers.

Yup. But the passives likely have way better fidelity than old digital stuff.
The digital will suffer in the extreme highs. But with the necessary EQ may still sound better than passives. OTOH with a modern computer program, and knowledgeable user, I'd bet a good set of passives would beat that old DSP.

it would be strange that all three LFs would be blown at the same time. and I would be willing to bet its something stupid.
