GM, I agree they probably need to be recapped. The ones I put in my speakers still have the stock caps but they are just a stop gap measure till I get my crossovers built. I'm still impressed with how they tamed the midrange and the improvement they made.
All in all, I think they are still a very good deal if you need a set or two.

Agreed, wasn't trying to imply otherwise, just want to keep in the forefront that the caps in these [and all other unrestored vintage gear for that matter] are way past their prime.
