    Suggestion/Opinion on protecting tweeters

I’ve been stupidly flying blind with my tweeters in my audio system. I use a digital crossover for the highs but no physical protection for unintended transients hitting the tweeters. I imagine a cap in series would do the trick but would like the solution to be high quality. Any suggestions?

When I was biamping I ran a cap for protection on the horns. I believe I used this chart, and maybe some other link Bowtie sent me. It’s been a while for me. I just used oil caps but you could use a nicer cap

You?re welcome. I know someone sent me that link back when I was biamping my Renkus drivers on JBL 2360 horns. I?m 99% sure it was Bowtie

The reference for many decades, but by the late '80s folks 'in the know' were protecting them with MOVs and thermistor/series resistor if wanting to protect from [excessive] thermal power distortion.
