Just wanted to see if any one had a pair of
horns to fit in these cabinets. I think they
are Altec MR 94-8. Thanks Stan L.

As I recall, the Altec MR94-8 was the precursor to the Altec MRII594. Both had the same acoustical performance, and both use the same horn bell, but the throats are different. Both fit only the large, 288/291 style drivers.

The MR94-8 has a small throat that, if memory serves, had a tendency to snap off in road use.

I seem to remember that the MRII594's did too at first, but they fixed it later by making a larger throat assembly that was MUCH better at handling the G-forces road use places on a speaker system.

If you don't have to have the bigger driver, try finding a pair of Altec MR994A horns - same bell, but with a throat designed for the smaller Altec driver.
